Rev. Fr. Arturo Sosa, Superior General of the Society of Jesus, concluded his Philippine visit with a meeting with Jesuit formands yesterday afternoon, December 14, at the Cardinal Sin Center, Loyola School of Theology.

The first order of the day for Father General was to travel to Barangay Lumbia, a 30-minute ride from Cagayan de Oro City, to visit Xavier Eco-Village, a resettlement site for people who were displaced by a strong typhoon that struck the city years back.

Fr. General Arturo Sosa spent a quiet evening on 11 December at the Jesuit Community’s residence at Sacred Heart School. He would have a long day ahead on 12 December, Wednesday, Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Patroness of the Americas and the Philippines.

Father General Arturo Sosa, SJ landed at the Mactan Airport, Cebu on board Philippine Airlines PR 2853 at 1:41 PM, yesterday, Tuesday, December 11, 2018. He was met by Jesuits and representatives of Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu, the eminent Jesuit school in the city.

On the 70th year anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights yesterday, 10th of December 2018, Father General Arturo Sosa met with about 60 representatives of key Jesuit social centers in the Philippines.

On the second day of his Philippine Province visit, Fr. General Sosa went to Kalookan City’s San Roque Cathedral to meet Bishop Pablo Virgilio David DD.

On the first full day of his visit to the Philippines, Fr. Arturo Sosa, General Superior of the Society of Jesus, was given a tour around the campus of the Ateneo de Manila University, the flagship school of the Jesuits in the country.
