To our dear friends,
In November, we remember our beloved dead. We pray for our Jesuit brothers called home by the Lord, and we also pray for your beloved dead. May our Lord, in His mercy and compassion, open wide the doors of paradise and grant them a place in His presence forever – a place of peace, joy, and fullness of life.
When we think of our Jesuit brothers who have passed away this year, we cannot but think of who will replace them. The young men now in the Novitiate will need to be formed and trained. It will take eleven years before their ordination to the priesthood, and possibly another few years of graduate studies if they will teach at an Ateneo school.
The young men bring no money with them into the Novitiate. The Jesuits pay for all their needs: board, lodging, tuition, medical and dental expenses. We turn to you for help. Partner with us in raising up replacements for the Jesuits who have passed on. Anything you can give will be of help.
Let us know the names of your beloved dead so we can remember them at holy Mass. And please include in your prayers our Jesuit brothers who have gone ahead of us. May our beloved dead rejoice before the Lord, pray for God’s blessing for us, and intercede for more vocations to the Philippine Jesuit Province. Thank you for your prayers and for all your help.
