This is to inform you that FR. SERGIO S. SU, S.J., died this morning in the Jesuit Health and Wellness Center, Loyola Heights, Q.C. Fr. Serge, 98, had recently been hospitalized with general weakness and coronary concerns. He entered the Society in 1944 and was ordained to the presbyterate in 1956.
Given pandemic considerations, Fr. Su’s remains will be cremated and the ashes brought to the JHWC for in-house memorial Masses there and in other communities on campus. The funeral Mass will be at 8 a.m. on Saturday, 17 July, in the Oratory of St. Ignatius, Loyola House of Studies. Interment follows in the Province cemetery at Sacred Heart Novitiate.
