Fr Nicolás’ return to Manila

Fr. Adolfo Nicolás was warmly welcomed back to Manila and to the Arrupe International Residence, his new community. He arrived, just after 1 pm today (16 February 2017). Fr Nicolas will serve in the pastoral and spiritual ministries in AIR and the East Asian Pastoral Institute.

Fr. Nicolás was elected as the 3oth Superior General of the Society of Jesus on 19 January 2008, succeeding Fr Peter Hans Kolvenbach. In the General Congregation 36 convened in Rome 2016, he submitted his resignation to General Congregation 36. After deliberations, the Congregation voted to accept his resignation.
