AIR Visitation of Major Superior

From 28 November to 10 December, Fr. Mark Raper did the annual visitation of Arrupe. Yesterday, the last day, he presided over the Community Eucharist where he also installed the first and second year theologians in the ministries of lector and acolyte. In his inspiring homily, Fr. Mark emphasized the importance of intimacy with God in prayer and in our encounters with other people, especially in our ministering to them. At the end of dinner, Fr. Mark gave the visitation-ending exhortation in which he focused on formation, the incoming General Congregation, and other things pertinent to the Society and formation. He also personally appealed to each member to give of himself entirely to his mission at hand, either as a student-formand or as formator. The meeting ended with a lively picture-taking.
